Marco Tulio Brenes at the Hidden Garden Art Gallery

Artists > M-P

Marco Tulio was born in the province of Puntarenas and raised in the foothills of the Monteverde cloud forest. After turning 18 he left for San Jose, where he worked with Barry Biesanz, studied for a time in the House of the Artist and defined his career with the artist Rodolfo Morales. Tulio has spent most of his artistic creation of sculpture in various materials such as ceramic, stone and wood among others; paintings with oil and acrylics, drawing and poetry, among other expressions.

From 1996 to 2005 Tulio ran his art gallery Ecstasy, where he exhibited his sculptures, paintings and exhibitions with guest artists. At the beginning of 2000 he lived for a year and a half in the United States, where he made several solo and group exhibitions of his works. In late 2005 he sold his gallery Ecstasy with the desire to devote himself entirely to artistic expression. In 2006, he traveled for several months in Europe and Turkey, while creating his works. Tulio currently has his studio and gallery called Arts Tulio in the center of Monteverde, where he has permanent exhibition of his work.
