Donaldo Voelker at the Hidden Garden Art Gallery

Artists > A-E

Donaldo Voelker began his formal training in painting in Heredia in 2004, Donaldo was a student of Beatriz Gomez, and has studied with Heredia artist Hugo Sanchez.

From the artist:

"I have always been inspired by Paul Gauguin ’s exit from the pressure-filled, financial world of Paris to find tranquility in the Tropics as a painter. I find that I am very much a humanist and favor the life and customs of people, which may show in my paintings. Also, as a Historian, I devour the books and styles of the great European Masters, principally the post-impressionists and expressionists."

Read about Donaldo Voelker in La Nacion, Ancora, and in A.M. Costa Rica.
Exhibit Opening: June 18, 2011.
