Hidden Garden Art Gallery

Alessandra Cola loves to paint faces – faces of women who look to the left – in abstract bright colors. Her paintings are very intuitive. She also paints on furniture, glasses, vases and other objects.

Alessandra was born in Rome, Italy. She moved to Costa Rica in 2005 with her husband Marco and their son Santiago but not before having lived for several years in the mythical city of Orvieto, in the region of Umbria, an area rich in art and culture.

Today she likes to weave these two cultures, the old continent with the new world, so distant and different from each other but in some ways very similar.

Alessandra is currently working on her artistic production in a small community in the Costa Rican Pacific coast called Playas del Coco in the Guanacaste province.
